BTS breaks major iTunes record held by Adele

The push for BTS' "Black Swan" to dominate in iTunes started on social media. BTS fans, also known as ARMY, encouraged one another on Twitter to buy the group's song. BTS ARMY proved their strength in achieving their goal, especially for the success of their favorite boy band. They quickly achieved their goal and sent "Black Swan" to the highest position in iTunes charts in Zimbabwe, Nepal, and lastly, Cape Verde.

The ARMY are now celebrating BTS' new record; all over Twitter, "BTS WORLD DOMINATION" could be seen and is trending worldwide.

"Black Swan" no. 1 on iTunes

"Black Swan" song was released in January. According to Forbes, "Black Swan" is the perfect song for BTS to win the recognition of the global iTunes.  In Genius.com's translation of the song, it appears that BTS has a fear of losing their passion for music. "Black Swan" became a way to express how afraid they are for it to happen. The group confessed their fear of losing the love for their craft and described it as the same pain as when dying, expressing it in the lines: "If this can no longer resonate, no longer make my heart vibrate like this may be how I die my first death."

Map of the Soul: 7 Album

The BTS' album "Map of the Soul: 7" where "Black Swan"  is listed, has made its mark in listeners' minds as it has a thoughtful emo-trap tune, according to Forbes. The album ranked no. 1 on the Billboard 200 and remains one of the biggest bows in 2020. At the same time, "Map of the Soul: 7" is said to have cemented the group as one of the world's most famous artists. 

ARMY putting BTS on top 

Variety revealed that before the group got the top spot on iTunes, BTS also broke a record for virtual attendance when their "Bang Bang Con: The Live" had 756,000 fans tuning in via paid concert live stream.

Forbes stated that BTS is way far from losing its passion and certainly will not lose its popularity. As the ARMY seems to have lots of energy to support the group, BTS will be at the top and will break more records in the coming years.
