Everyone strives to make each summer more memorable than the last. It's perhaps the most magical time of the year and the perfect season to get out there, explore, and try new things. For some people, this might look like beating the summer sun by picking up surfing or using their much-needed summer vacation to finally break out the good luggage and embrace their inner world traveler. However, for others, it might be as simple as kicking back with some good new tunes, and up-and-coming music producer and entrepreneur Vincent Zirah readily delivers just that with his recent release "Better Mood," a song aimed to promote his music platform Infigroove.

"Better Mood" is a quintessential summer song that definitely wasn't made with any of the quintessential production moves. Vincent Zirah isn't a stranger to the industry at large by any means, as he is the founder of the free streaming service Infigroove. Still, he is entirely new to being an active artist himself.

The French music service owner and entrepreneurial jack-of-all-trades made the move to the production chair fairly recently, born out of a desire to better understand and support artists and grow his platform by convincing artists to release exclusive tracks on Infigroove. His thinking was that only in becoming one could he truly understand what they need and how they can benefit from Infigroove, and he immediately followed the thought up by throwing himself into the music-making business. Fast forward a few months, add in a couple of long nights, and you've got "Better Mood."

As said before, the track isn't your standard musical appetizer. But, beyond being crafted by a musician who more intimately knows the streaming side of things than that of actual song development, "Better Mood" handily breaks the mold expected of nearly all pop tracks these days. The song is string-driven, made with a compelling mix of light, beachy, slightly "Mraz-y" acoustic; weighty, resonant bass; and electric guitar that has a distinctly vintage edge to both sound and playing.

That alone sets it apart from some of the big-time tracks right now, but the differences are more marked looking at the song's full roster. It's comprised of the usual instruments yet also makes extensive use of some lesser-used players (like piano and violin - when was the last time you heard a tropical summer song use either of those?), a risky move that manages to soar rather than bomb.

It should be odd, but it just works. Geniuslix's founder first attempt within the musician sphere is a massively surprising success. "Better Mood" simply has a flair to it that's unexpected, especially when he reveals the inspiration for the basic melody and form was born from a whistle that came about purely by chance. The entire thing is exciting yet simple, summery, and full to the brim with good vibes that'll instantly lift your spirits. The Infigroove founder's debut effort feels like the ideal companion for the season, perfect for poolside relaxing, beach bonfires, afternoons on the train, and everything in-between.

There's little doubt that Vincent Zirah's current path could lead him somewhere really special. He's already making a name for himself in the music world with Infigroove. So, where could he go from here? Another release called "Evolution" is already right around the corner. An electro track that promises good rhythm, calm verses, and a soaring, catchy chorus, it's looking to clearly differentiate itself from its predecessor while still using a similar production formula, and we personally can't wait to see it in action.
