Eddie Vedder has loaded the deck in preparation for his upcoming second solo album, "Earthling".

It was confirmed on Friday that the 13-track compilation would include collaborations with a number of other rock and pop legends, including Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Ringo Starr.

On top of that, Vedder released the enthralling new single "Brother the Cloud," which is the third track off the next album, slated to be released on Feb. 11 via Seattle Surf/Republic Records.

In addition to unveiling the album's tracklist earlier this week, Vedder has also announced that the album will have a slew of high-profile musicians.

Music icons like Stevie Wonder, Elton John (credited on the song 'Picture,') and Ringgo Starr will collaborate with Vedder for the project.

The album also includes guest appearances by the likes of Glen Hansard of The Frames, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and former Chilis guitarist (and current Pearl Jam touring member) Josh Klinghoffer.

Vedder also revealed that his late father's vocals are included in the same album. In an interview, the Pearl Jam vocalist explained that he did not really get to know his father as he grew up knowing only that he was a family friend.

Other projects

Later this year, Vedder will go on a promotional tour in the United States, where he will be accompanied by a band named as "The Earthlings".

Hansard will play guitar and sing backup vocals, Smith will play drums, and Klinghoffer will play guitar.

The ensemble will also comprise Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney and producer Andrew Wyatt.

The nine-city Earthling tour, which will kick off on Feb. 3 with a two-night stand at New York's Beacon Theatre, will be backed by an all-star supporting cast that includes Smith, guitarist Watt, Klinghoffer, Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, and Ed's longtime friend and Frames frontman, Glen Hansard.

According to Billboard, Vedder previously shared the stage alongside artists such as Smith and Klinghoffer during an unplanned festival concert in California in September.

The band performed covers of songs by R.E.M. and Prince during the event.

Early last month, Vedder took part in Elton John's star-studded Zoom call, which included everyone who worked on the latter's recently released record, "The Lockdown Sessions."
