Dua Lipa fans rejoice. The singer said she has already written a big chunk of music for her next album. She also revealed that while it is still in its baby form, the album is going to be a "movement from Future Nostalgia" because it will have a unique sound.

According to the singer, she's in "no rush" to release her next album just yet even if she already written a lot of what is to be included. She even said she has already done some recording.

"I've done a big chunk of writing: It's starting to take shape; I've got a lot of it recorded," she revealed. "'It has a vision. It has a name, I think-for now. It's just been fun experimenting. I'm always going to make pop music, but it has its own unique sound, which is exciting and something that feels like a movement from Future Nostalgia. It's still in baby form, so we'll see as it progresses," she added.

After being delayed by nearly two years, Dua's Future Nostalgia tour will finally get underway on February 9 in Miami.

On Wednesday, she posted photos to her Instagram account following a day of rehearsals at the Izod Center in Newark, New Jersey.

When it comes to her music and the timing of her releases, the singer can be described as quite the genius. According to the Wall Street Journal, the reason why she stormed the top of the charts was because right at the start of the pandemic, where everything was so unclear and so uncertain, she decided that she should still go ahead and release her "Future Nostalgia" album.

At the time, her second album, Future Nostalgia, was set for release in early April. The stakes were really high given her level of success then.  Following the success of her 2017 self-titled debut, which featured the global smash "New Rules," she received the 2019 Grammy Award for best new artist. More ambitious, the new album was expected to catapult her to the next level of popularity, fusing disco and '90s dance inspirations with modern pop songs.

The release of "Future Nostalgia" at this time would be significant, but how? An cheery CD would not appeal to anybody. Would her career suffer if she was unable to perform on the road? She still released it though and no one can deny it was the right decision.

"I always have this viewpoint that you have to be outside of your comfort zone for things to be rewarding," Lipa explained. "So when the pandemic happened, and everyone was worried about whether we should release the album, I was just like, F- it, maybe it's just what we need. While everyone's at home, maybe this is the album we should be putting out. It was scary, because you had no idea how long we were going to be in this pandemic. Everything was a big question mark. But I had a sense that we just had to do it."
