ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus got candid about the group's songs that can still make people grove nowadays.

Since ABBA took a hiatus in the 1980s, fans still could not help but listen to their songs. After their comeback last year, they topped music charts again before disbanding for good.

Ulvaeus revealed further details about it during his appearance in a radio show on Apple Music, talking about how their songs like "Mamma Mia" and "Dancing Queen" stayed in people's minds after several decades.

He revealed to "Björn from ABBA and Friends' Radio Show on Apple Music Hits" listeners that he, himself, also does not understand how it is possible to have their music stay in people's minds.

"I have long wanted to ask some emotionally intelligent as well as intellectual people who know about ABBA about why they think our songs have lasted for such a long time - almost 40 years - because I don't understand it myself," he said, talked to Nile Rodgers.

Before and even after their disbandment, ABBA scored several awards from different award-giving bodies, including the American Guild of Variety Artists Entertainer of the Year Awards, Bravo Otto Awards, Brit Awards, Carl-Alan Awards, Grammy Awards, and The Radio Luxembourg Lion Award, among others.

Following the recent episode, Ulvaeus welcomed more guests on his radio show, including Catherine Johnson and Johan Renck.

What Happened to ABBA?

During the early 1970s, the four-piece conquered the industry by releasing his songs and dominating global charts. However, they split in 1983 after 10 years.

Some fans alleged that the members' divorces affected their breakup despite their efforts in making everything work. However, ABBA told The Guardian that their personal issues had nothing to do with their disbandment.

According to Benny Andersson, they never expected the band to continue again at all. He added that Bjorn and Agnetha constantly speak to each other about their kids and grandchildren. Everyone is on speaking terms, and they all decided to finally take a bow soon.

In the same interview, Ulvaeus expressed how enjoyable working with the ABBA members again is after years of being out of the spotlight.

"I think everyone was completely aware that if what we did was not up to the standard that we all wanted, we would just forget about it. There was no pressure in that respect," the member went on.
