With the addition of yet another platinum plaque to his increasing collection, Kendrick Lamar is positioning himself for what is expected to be a banner year for the Compton superstar.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) officially certified Kendrick's "Family Ties" duet with Baby Keem as platinum on Monday (January 31), after the song's sales in the United States surpassed one million units in the country.

Including 23 platinum or multi-platinum tracks and three albums that have surpassed one million sales, the TDE rapper now boasts a total of 26 platinum plaques to his credit.

Family Ties

With the help of "Family Ties," taken from Baby Keem's upcoming debut album "The Melodic Blue", the song reached No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Family Ties" is Keem's biggest single to date and Kendrick Lamar's highest-charting song since 2018.

The triple-sided single, which features a fiery final verse from Kendrick Lamar has been nominated for two Grammy awards at the upcoming 2022 Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.

Baby Keem is also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.

Aside from the RIAA-certified platinum feat, it seemed like fans will be expecting a new single from Kdot before his Super Bowl Halftime performance debut with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Mary J. Blige.
