Troye Sivan is finally back to making music, but not for a new album or collaboration. The Australian singer will be making waves for his upcoming Dramedy with Paramount pictures.

From shooting photos from his bedroom to becoming a younger version of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in 2009, Troye Sivan will star on his new film "Three Months Later."

New music for the film's soundtrack

But aside from being the lead role, Caleb, the 26-year old singer, will also be writing all-original music for the film.

Still unreleased, Troye previewed his new music on the recently released trailer for "Three Months Later."

"Accidental lover, what'd you do with all my common sense?" he asks in his new original song from the film's soundtrack. "I'm tired of living like I'm dying / Now I can find the silver lining."

Two new songs by Sivan, who released his last single "Angel Baby" in September of this year, will be used in the dramedy.

Additionally, the film marks Troye Sivan's first formal come back to the film industry since 2018's "Boy Erased." He played a young guy named Gary who was going through the motions at a homosexual conversion therapy evaluation program.

Sivan received a Golden Globe and Hollywood Music in Media Original Song nod for his song "Revelation" on the same film.

While filming, Sivan created a new song to accompany the world that has been built around the pivotal moment in his character Caleb's life.

Embodying the character for the duration of filming, Troye managed to translate the emotions needed throughout the film into his new music.

Troye as Caleb

The first trailer for Three Months introduces a cast of individuals who will play a role in Caleb's view of the world.

Caleb is waiting for the results of a conclusive HIV test that might alter his whole destiny.

The film is written and directed by Jared Frieder, who served as executive producer on the project. "Three Months Later" will premiere on Paramount+ on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, and will be available for streaming after.
