After Pete Davidson, Billie Eilish, and many more people on Kanye's Beef list, it would seem like Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor would see himself on the infamous tracker sometime soon.

Kanye's fans were shocked recently by his announcement of how his much-anticipated "DONDA 2" will be streamed and played by the public.

The "DONDA" rapper took a different route and decided to publish his new album exclusively via Stem Player.

Instead of publishing it on streaming giants Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, Ye decided to go with a much more expensive approach.

Fans can only stream the album by purchasing a 200 dollar Stem Player, giving fans a unique listening experience by allowing them to adjust various settings on the handheld player.

Expectedly, the decision met with a flood of criticisms as many questioned the costly price point and felt it rendered Kanye's new songs very inaccessible for most of his following.

Slipknot disagrees

With the excessive pricing of the Stem Player, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor agrees on the general consensus that access to his music is really expensive.

Corey Taylor blasted Kanye on a recent Metro UK interview airing his thoughts on the rapper's move.

'You're assuming that the audience has the access and same technology that you have, but you're a f*****g moron for doing that. Are you serious? It doesn't work that way," he explained.

The Slipknot frontman described Kanye as "convoluted and off the "freaking" property for thinking that releasing his music on the player is a "smart thing to do."

Corey continued to aim at Yeezy, calling him "pompous and ridiculous," putting himself in Kanye's shoes.

Putting himself in Kanye's shoes, Corey Taylor believed that they would be "demonised" for doing so if it were them.

"I guarantee people are looking at him like he's a genius, and it's like for f***s sake, pull your head out of your a*s, put it on CDs, and just f*****g give it to people," Taylor suggested.

Kanye's reasons

On the other hand, Yeezy has some good reasons why he pursued to stray from the usual streaming platforms.

He has pointed out that artists make less profit on the streaming giants, giving out highly debated rates.

"Today, artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It's time to free music from this oppressive system. It's time to take control and build our own," he explained.
