The 50-year-old New York-born music icon revealed his intention to Shannon Sharpe on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast, and earlier detailed his rationale for purchasing an NFL franchise.
"They don't look like us," he insisted. They are compensating us. They're making fun of us. That is how I view things."
Damon Dash then attempted to make a point by asking the podcast host, "How many black men have tried to buy football clubs, and a white boy said, 'No?' I know Ray Lewis tried."
Shannon then posed several funding-related queries to the entrepreneur, who instantly responded, "How many individuals, in general, put up their own money in the first place?"
"We all need to get together, pool our resources, create a fund, and go make it."
Damon Dash, full name Damon Anthony Dash, went on to say that there is a huge difference between "we and them," adding that they know how use leverage.
Though this is true, fans will never forget his failure to purchase the Raiders.
