Mel C has recently made some stunning statements about the Spice Girls.

The British pop girl group, which broke up in 2001, went on to become one of the best-selling bands in history.

Mel C, on the other hand, revealed nothing "exceptional" about herself or her bandmates Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Horner, among others.

"We are just so average in so many ways," she stated during an appearance on DJ Annie Mac's podcast, "Changes," in which she said that the Spice Girls still joke about it because "we are just so typical in so many ways."

"We're not special," Mel C, real name Melanie Jayne Chisholm, continued. "However, we were able to build something remarkable that so many people could relate to."

Spice Girls were formed in 1994 and have already sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.

They have the distinction of having sold the most albums by a female group in history.

Mel C also stated that there are many aspects of being in the band that they are unable to describe, but that they were fortunate and that "all the stars aligned" in their favor.

She exclaimed that there's something "inexplicable" about her and her four other bandmates, and that "it's just amazing" about them. The fact that we all share a vision just provides strength and vigor to our efforts."

In spite of the fact that the band members had doubts in themselves and felt terrified on several occasions, they were able to push it to the back of their minds because of the people who believed in them and how they, as bandmates, trusted in one another.

Reunion of the Spice Girls

Mel C also seemed to imply that a possible Spice Girls reunion was on the horizon in the last few days, but that it would all depend on Geri Halliwell's availability.

The group's five members, including Victoria Beckham, were reportedly asked to play at Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee festivities this year, according to reports last month, which were confirmed.

The five ladies last performed in 2012 - at the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony in London - but Victoria has been unable to participate in any of the other tours and performances that have taken place since then.

When it comes to reuniting with her band, Posh Spice is typically the one who is reluctant, but it appears that this time, Ginger Spice is the one who is dragging her heels about it.

A member of the audience inquired of Mel C about if the "Stop" singer had accepted the invitation to perform.

According to The Sun, Sporty Spice reacted on stage that they needed to speak with Geri about it because they hadn't discussed it yet.
