Phil Collins seemingly ditched playing the drums for good months after revealing his tragic fate due to health issues.

Genesis fans literally had a wonderful Monday night as Collins and his bandmates performed again in front of their Berlin, Germany, crowd.

The 71-year-old singer joined Mike Rutherford and Rony Banks on stage as they gave their fans another night to remember. But it was not purely entertainment as some concertgoers were left worried when Collins opted to remain seated throughout the performance.

Fox News shared photos from the concert at the Mercedez Benz Arena, confirming that Collins already restricted himself from headbanging and moving back and forth the stage just months after disclosing his declining health.

In one photo, he could be seen sitting in a chair as he held on to his microphone stand while looking frail.

After the updates came out, Collins trended on Twitter worldwide after fans compared him to former Genesis band member Peter Gabriel. Some chose him as a better singer, but most internet users refused to pick since they are both considered genius musicians.

One said, "I'm not a Genesis diehard, but if I had a choice between Genesis as fronted by Peter Gabriel and the band with Phil Collins as lead singer, I'm definitely going with Phil Collins."

"Both? Phil Collins is one of the best musicians in history. Arguably the genre World Music would be behind in America if it wasn't for Peter Gabriel giving his platform to so many other artists. Both go out of their way to make great music. Yeah, we can have both," another added.

What Happened to Phil Collins?

His recent appearance came months after Collins spoke about the declining health that pushed him to start thinking about his potential retirement in the industry.

In an interview on "BBC Breakfast" in September, the singer said he has been physically challenged to the point that he could barely hold a stick with his hands.

Although his status does not affect his position as the band's frontman, he told the news outlet that his 20-year-old son Nic has taken over on the drums in the past months due to his health battles.

Before losing his hand's full capacity, Collins suffered a spinal injury that caused him to stop drumming. At that time, he revealed that his vertebrae were crushing his spinal cord due to the position he follows whenever he drums in.
