Eminem continues to break records and make history in RIAA Gold and Platinum Program.

The Recording Industry Association of America officially announced on Tuesday that Eminem officially transformed into Diamond King in its program. According to the organization (via Billboard), his 73.5 million new certifications made him the current No. 1 awarded musician for singles in both the RIAA's Gold and Platinum certifications program.

RIAA said that the awards recognize the rapper's unmatched contributions and commitment in the industry in the past decades.

"With today's announcement, Eminem becomes the top certified singles artist in our program's history and adds a rare third Diamond Album to his many creative accomplishments. Congratulations to Eminem and his entire label team who have set the bar higher than ever!" RIAA chairman/CEO Mitch Glazier said.

The recent feat officially brought Eminem's records to six Diamond awards - three for albums and three for singles. The "The Real Slim Shady" hitmaker widened the gap as one of the biggest-selling acts in music history as the 73 million new certifications pushed his RIAA Award to a total of 227.5 million.

The figure includes 166 million certifications and 61.5 million certifications.

On top of these, his 2005 compilation "Curtain Call: The Hits" became his recent entry to his Diamond collection.

Executives, Fans Send Congratulatory Message to Eminem

Following RIAA CEO's announcement, more executives and the rapper's fans took their chance to celebrate Eminem's achievement.

Interscope Geffen A&M vice chairman Steve Berman said, "It has been an honor to be part of one of the greatest journeys in the history of recorded music. The most beautiful part of this is it feels like the journey has just begun."

Eminem officially joins other multi-Diamond acts, including Garth Brooks, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Shania Twain, and Whitney Houston.
