Good news for Muna fans! The electro-pop trio has confirmed that they will be releasing a new album. They already unveiled the tracklist, release date, and all the information supporters needed before it dropped.

Despite being busy with their touring schedule playing with Kacey Musgraves to promote her album "Star-Crossed," the band found time to work on their third album, a follow-up to their previous records "About U" in 2017 and "Save The World" in 2019.

It's been three years since the trio last dropped a new LP, and now, they're working under Saddest Factory Records, a record label owned and founded by Phoebe Bridgers.

According to Nylon Magazine, Muna's upcoming album will drop on June 24, 2022, and they have been teasing fans by releasing two singles over the past few months.

Muna Releases a New Music Video

The first one is "Silk Chiffon," a collaborative track released on September 7, 2021, with the help of Bridgers, and their latest single, "Anything But Me," released on March 15, accompanied by a music video.

In a statement, the band explained the meaning behind their latest work, saying they have stayed in their past relationships for a long time, waiting until they hit low lows to "admit it's over."

The song is about leaving a connection because it doesn't feel right anymore and following their intuitions to get out of a relationship despite still having feelings for each other as they didn't want it to end badly.

Speaking about the music video, the trio-Katie Gavin, Naomi McPherson, and Josette Maskin- played with the idea that they have been their own captors in relationships.

"The song embodies the lightness and a playfulness that floods in when you realize that there's no lock on the door, no one's holding you back," they added.

Muna's Official Tracklist

Aside from their first two singles, the upcoming album will feature additional nine brand new songs, including "What I Want," "Runner's High," "Home by Now," "Kind of Girl," "Handle Me," "No Idea," "Solid," "Loose Garment," and "Shooting Star."

As the band approaches a new era, they will also embark on a tour including cities like Austin, London, Brighton, Cleveland, Columbus, Louisville, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Diego, Houston, Kansas City, Denver, and many more.
