Ahead of their long-delayed North American concerts with Motley Crue, Def Leppard finally revealed their twelfth full-length album, "Diamond Star Halos," and a brand new single.

Def Leppard's New Album 'Diamond Star Halos'

"Diamon Star Halos" is the band's twelfth studio album and first new work since the sequel of their self-titled 2015 album "Def Leppard."

Udiscovermusic reports that the band recorded Diamond Star Halos over the course of two years in three separate countries: Ireland, England, and the United States, with Joe in Ireland, Sav in England, and Phil, Vivian, and Rick in the United States.

Fans can already pre-order the album via Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, iTunes Store, and YouTube.

From a thematic standpoint, they paid homage to some of their first collective inspirations, including David Bowie, T. Rex, and Mott The Hoople, amongst other artists.

The title itself is a nod to T. Rex's "Bang a Gong (Get It On)," which appears in the song.

The 15 tracked album features two collaborations with multi-Grammy award winner Allison Krauss. The Bluegrass country singer is credited on "Lifeless" and "The Guitar."

David Bowie's pianist Mike Garson performs on "Goodbye For Good This Time" and "Angels (Can't Help You Now)."

Def Leppard's New Single' Kick'

Composed of frontman Joe Elliott, bassist Rick Savage, drummer Rick Allen, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, the band also unveiled "Diamon Star Halos'" lead single "Kick."

Metal Underground described "Kick" as "an anthemic stadium-ready frenzy kickstarted with driving guitars and bombastic drums woven into its musical fabric."

On the other hand, "Kick's" chorus has the blueprint of what seemed to be another Leppard hit, with the band's well-known melodies and vocals.
