"To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting. My crew , band , friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU."

The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker was supposed to headline the Wednesday leg of the festival along with Jane's Addiction and Jhay Cortez.

The day before that, organizers also paused the festival because of the bad weather, a day wherein the Foo Fighters, Doja Cat, and Machine Gun Kelly are supposed to perform.

All of the artists had performed at Lollapalooza Argentina just a few days before, from March 18-20.

On March 26, Cyrus is scheduled to headline Lollapalooza Brazil, and the Foo Fighters take the stage the next day, while Doja Cat and Machine Gun Kelly perform on the 25th.
