The Grammys 2022, like the previous years, has some fair share of iconic moments that has surely shaken the world at some point. Last night, it was Best New Artist Awardee Olivia Rodrigo and BTS' Kim Taehyung's brief moment minutes into the latter's performance of "Butter."

Grammys 2022 BTS' 'Butter' Performance

The Korean Supergroup, BTS, is nominated for this year's Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, performed at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas last night, Apr. 3, 2022.

Performing their worldwide hit-song "Butter," BTS was supercharged with charm and swag as they took almost a "James Bond-esque" performance riddled with lasers and supercomputers.

But minutes into "Butter," the camera spanned every BTS member, who were all scattered into the crowd and stage.

When it came to Kim Taehyung's spot, the worldwide sensation was seen seated beside "drivers license" hitmaker Olivia Rodrigo.

For a brief moment, the two seemingly shared almost a "flirty" exchange as the dashing Taehyung and Rodrigo talked beside each other, prompting the BTS member to come closer and whisper in Rodrigo's ear, leaving her behind, shocked and almost smitten.

After the conversation, Taehyung then threw a card on stage that Jungkook picked up, pooling the supergroup onstage.

The now-trending moment sent fans into a frenzy, pushing ARMYs to either beat Olivia to be in her position or just be her for a brief moment.

Olivia Rodrigo, Kim Taehyung' Flirty Moment' Explained

While Livvies and ARMYs are still figuring out what Taehyung whispered to Olivia at what others considered a candid moment, some speculate that the moment was apparently staged.

Los Angeles Times argued that the already-iconic moment that sent the two dedicated fandoms crazy was a producer tactic for telecast ratings and viewership.

Although Olivia Rodrigo nor Kim Taehyung responded to any questions on what really transpired during the brief conversation, the moment goes down in history as one of the most-talked-about moments of the evening.

BTS failed to clinch the Best Pop Duo/Group performance two times in a row with last year's "Dynamite" and this year's "Butter," losing to Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga's "Rain on Me" and Doja Cat and SZA's "Kiss Me More" respectively.

Olivia Rodrigo went big as she took home the "world's luckiest girl of the day" with the Kim Taehyung moment and three Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album for "SOUR," and Best Pop Vocal Album Performance for "drivers license."
