The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia are closing Coachella's Sunday night slot. The two acts join Harry Styles and Billie Eilish as the festival headliners, who will be performing on two Fridays and Saturdays, respectively.

Coachella's Promoter, Goldenvoice President Paul Tollett, is "looking forward" for Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd to close the Sunday concerts for this year's festival.

"Coachella has a special relationship with Abel and I'm so thankful to have this upcoming performance with these iconic artists all on the same stage," Tollett said.

The decision came on the heels after Variety confirmed a rumour that Kanye West allegedly pulled out of the festival for not having the time to prepare for the set.

Kanye West, Travis Scott Pulled Out of Coachella 2022

The Kanye West pullout also confirmed that Travis Scott would not be performing at the festival after the "DONDA" rapper has suggested that he would bring Scott to his performance as a guest act.

Scott was one of the initially announced headliners of Coachella 2022 but was later replaced by Kanye, Styles, and Eilish because of the ongoing controversy and investigation of the tragic Astroworld crush in which he is embroiled.

Weeks before the eventual cancellation of Kanye, petitions urging the festival organizers to pull him out of the lineup have gathered a massive amount of signatures online.

Scott was also removed because of a massive petition circulated online last year, garnering more than 60,000 signatures.

Other Coachella Performers 2022

The hotly-anticipated, two-weekend festival features a star-studded bill aside from Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, and Swedish House Mafia.

Billie Eilish leads the Saturday performances on April 16 and 23 along with GRAMMY-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion, Flume, Disclosure, 21 Savage, Danny Effman, GIVEON, Wallows, BROCKHAMPTON, and more.

Closing the two weekends are the newly enlisted The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia with supporting acts from Doja Cat, Joji, Ari Lennox, FINNEAS, Jamie XX, Run the Jewels, Karol G, Denzel Curry, and a whole lot more.
