Demi Lovato is gearing up to give a heartfelt album to fans.

After a long wait, Lovato confirmed to fans that their new album is nearing the finish line already. She delivered the news through their Instagram Story on Thursday, explaining why their upcoming project would move people.

According to Lovato, the title-pending eight studio album "Cool For The Summer" would contain their ups and downs throughout their personal journey.

"Getting emotional listening to my new album because I'm so proud of it," she wrote. "It's my absolute best yet and so representative of me, where I started and who I am today."

The 29-year-old "Wouldn't Change a Thing" hitmaker added that the album would be their best yet, adding that she could not wait for fans to see their newest work.

They also took their time to note how they posted a song titled "Happy Ending" before their recent announcement, although they penned it in an "incredibly dark place."

While gearing up before their comeback, they expressed their gratitude that they are no longer in that cold and lonely place.

After the Instagram Story update, Lovato shared videos of them singing a song from their new album while they were inside a car.

Lovato's upcoming 2022 album will serve as a follow-up to their "Dancing With the Devil ... The Art of Starting Over" in April 2021.

What To Expect on Demi Lovato's New Album?

Long before the announcement, Lovato already shared what fans should expect in their new album.

Earlier this year, they shared a photo with their seven pals sporting black outfits. At that time, they said it was "a funeral" for her pop music.

This caused fans to assume that they would be going back to their famous rock and emo days.

In their interview with Rolling Stone in February, Lovato confirmed that they would be back to that era - but "better."

"there's a bit of... and when I say heaviness, I don't mean lyrically, but heaviness as in some of the sound that I haven't done before, which is exciting. It's a new era reminiscent of my first era," they said. "I'm ever-evolving, ever-changing. I'd like to put the rest of my music behind me and start fresh in this new era for this next album - but I do that every album cycle."

Lovato is yet to release further details about their album, including its release date.
