Jewell Caples, the R&B singer who famously became the "First Lady of Death Row Records," has died. She was 53.

Multiple news outlets confirmed the heartbreaking news about Caples, leaving her fans in deep sorrow as her death happened suddenly.

Her manager, Timothy Beal, sent a statement to Entertainment Tonight, while Vibe was first to report the news.

"Jewell was a very special woman with a big heart. She had been a guest at my wedding back on February 12th of this year. We shared many many spiritual conversations. She had transformed her life from hardcore gangsta rap to faith-based gospel singer and songwriter," Beal said.

The manager revealed that they had been working on her comeback in the industry. Unfortunately, their plans would not happen anymore due to her untimely passing.

Beal ended the message with a heartfelt tribute to Caples, calling her a "great friend" and "very loving woman."

The former head of Death Row security Reggie Wright Jr. shared that Caples exactly died on Friday around 5:00 a.m.

While both Wright and Beal did not reveal Jewell Caples' cause of death, the singer seemingly passed due to a health issue she faced months ago.

Before her death, Caples worried fans when she was hospitalized in March after facing a health issue.

She revealed on an Instagram post that her doctors found "8 lbs. of fluid on my heart, lungs, and legs." The singer reportedly almost died at that time but was able to survive after receiving medical attention just in time.

"I Almost Died! Was supposed to be Airlifted to another facility. GOD reverse my symptoms extended me some GRACE! And gave me more time with my Family and Friends! Thank you JESUS for saving my life again! GOD IS REAL!" she said.
