Where is Jewel now? It seems as if she has vanished from the limelight after her 90s and early 2000s fame. As it is her birthday today, let's try to find out what's the latest with her.

Jewel New Album 2022

It's not true that she has retired from her music career. In fact, back in April, she just announced a new album aptly called "Freewheelin' Woman." There's a feeling that she is gone though because it did take years for this new record to drop. This does not mean she's no longer connecting with fans though; her social media account would certainly prove otherwise.

Jewel Net Worth 2022

According to publications, Jewel's net worth is $35 million, the majority of which she has acquired through her music career, and she earns approximately $500,000 annually.

Age, Bio, Fame in 90s

After her birth on May 23, 1974 in Payson, United States, Jewel and her family relocated to Anchorage, Alaska, although her parents separated when she was 8 years old and she attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, on her 15th birthday.

Jewel signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records in 1995, producing her blockbuster debut album Pieces of You, which sold over 15 million copies worldwide, featuring her single 'Who Will Save Your Soul,' which peaked at number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

After releasing Spirit and 0304, the singer solidified her position in the music industry. In 2008, she released Perfectly Clear, a country-influenced album that propelled her back to the top of the Billboard charts.

Other albums by the singer-songwriter include Lullaby, Goodbye Alice in Wonderland, and Picking Up the Pieces, although she has also excelled in poetry, having issued a popular book of poems in 1998, and in acting, having starred as Sue Lee Shelley in Ang Lee's film Ride with the Devil.

Married Life, Divorce and Moving Back to Alaska

During the height of Jewel's fame, she was with her future husband, Ty Murray. After 10 years of dating, the couple wed in 2008 and had a son, Kase, in 2011.

In 2014, they divorced because their marriage had failed. She did not deviate from music, but she did go in a different direction.

In 2008, she published the country album Perfectly Clear and she founded a non-profit children's organization that assists children with housing, food, and other essentials.

One of her more recent songs, "No More Tears," is featured in the Lost in America documentary on homelessness. Due to her own hardships with homelessness and poverty before she became famous, Jewel is motivated to assist others through her charity and mental health awareness efforts. It's all part of her company, Jewel Inc., which she believes will assist everyone in achieving their own balance and awareness.

Her singing ability is not her only talent. She attempted acting, and it appears to be doing well. She has appeared in a number of Hallmark Channel mystery films as a contractor and investigator. Her father and brothers appear on the Discovery Channel television program Alaska: The Lost Frontier.

A number of years ago, Jewel returned to Alaska. It's understanable - so many people would want to live in Alaska!

On her part, she particularly craved a peaceful environment in which to raise her kid, yet finds time for writing, music, and the occasional acting role.
