One Direction fans all over the world are jumping in joy, as Zayn Malik has surprised everyone with a clip of him belting out one of his former band's most iconic songs.

The clip came days after his former bandmate, Liam Payne, infamously revealed in a Logan Paul podcast some of the band's dirty laundry - including a jab on Malik's most recent behavior.

With the now-viral clip, fans all over the world are in unison in asking - what does this mean?

Since his shocking exit from the group in 2015, there have only been very few times that Zayn Malik has acknowledged his former band publicly.

Treating his 45.7 million followers on Instagram, the 29-year-old singer belted his iconic climax note on the One Direction hit "You & I" in an 8-second clip.

Now amassing over 6.8 million views since he last posted eight hours ago, the video immediately became viral online.

"Zayn, you have summoned the whole fandom," a fan commented on his post. True enough, Zayn has been trending on Twitter ever since the video was posted.

Fans of the boy group considered Malik's action as "unusual," as among the five members, he is the least vocal and has rarely acknowledged his stay on the band publicly after his exit.

Coincidentally, Zayn Malik had posted the clip of him singing a week after Liam Payne had "summoned" the fandom for all the wrong reasons.

In an explosive podcast interview with Logan Paul, Liam Payne brought out One Direction's dirty laundry in the air.

Started off by claiming that his debut single "Strip That Down" had outsold everyone from the band - which Billboard data confirms otherwise.

Payne had also doubled down on Paul's comments against Malik about the Yoland Hadid striking issue - jokingly calling his former bandmate "Wayne Malik," referring to his soccer player-like temper. (via Page Six)

As to how Payne's described Malik's behavior, the former's actions and comments on the podcast resulted in a mountain of backlash - even his fans from One Direction calling him out on his words and actions.

Because of this encounter, fans were disheartened that a reunion among the five members might be very unlikely now. But, with Zayn Malik's resurgence, some remain hopeful that the group, as they promised will return together.
