Beyonce is officially dropping a new album!

On June 16, Beyonce revealed her forthcoming album, "Renaissance," through her website. The singer has confirmed some of the iinitial details of this seventh studio album herself.

The official release date can be found on Bey's Instagram bio, which will be a few days before the next month ends - July 29.

The inclusion of "act I in the title of the 16-track album" is also quite intriguing as well. It could mean several things. First, it could indicate plans to release additional "acts" following this first release. Alternately, "act I could relate to the project's 16 tracks being published in different sections as opposed to all at once on July 29.

Pre-orders are now possible. Those who would make the pre-orders can get to enjoy some merch from the artist.

Each of the four box sets available for pre-order on Beyoncé's official website includes a unique T-shirt. A CD, a 28-page photo booklet, and a tiny poster are also included.

While the announcement was certainly music to the ears of Bey's fans, one cannot really say the fans are caught by surprise.

Beyoncé already hinted to her fans that something could be on the horizon by removing all of her profile images from her social media accounts last week.

And then this week, Brandy's BeyGOOD Foundation Twitter account released a collage of album covers to mark Black History Month, with a hand pointing to the cover of her next album B7. Renaissance would be Beyoncé's seventh studio album, hence the abbreviation "B7."

One can say Beyonce already hinted on what her 7th album will be as early as back on August 2021.

In a cover story last August with Harper's Bazaar, Beyoncé said she was already working on new music. She even used the word "renaissance." "With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again. I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible," she shared.

"I've been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies. Still, there's nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!"
