Kate Bush is trending and making news again after the newest season of "Stranger Things" used her decades-old song "Running Up That Hill."

She even stated that she is "overwhelmed" by the Duffer Brothers' decision to include her song on the show.

A statement on Bush's website reads, "The characters in our current series face many of the same difficulties that exist in real life right now. I feel the Duffer Brothers have really touched people's hearts during a tough period for everyone, especially young people."

Max, Sadie Sink's character in "Stranger Things," may be seen listening to the song during a moment of profound mourning.

When the "Undying King" comes for her, her companions promptly draw her back to safety by singing the song over and again, allowing her to find her way back.

Sink previously told Entertainment Tonight that her character's life is "saved by Kate Bush," stressing that Max, who continued to play the song to keep her safe even after she was rescued, is now "in a really vulnerable situation."

Bush also stated on her website that the song was featured positively on the show and "has been thrust into the emotional crucible of her tale Fear, struggle, and the strength of love surround her and her companions."

"Running Up That Hill" was initially released in 1985, and its popularity has risen as new audiences have been introduced to the song.

According to Billboard, the song ultimately topped the UK music charts and also charted in Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, and Germany.

The song has over 57 million global listens on Spotify, which means Bush is entitled more than $200,000 in recorded music royalties from a single platform, on a single streaming platform, in a single week.

It was previously stated that the rights holder would receive between $.03 and $.05 every Spotify stream, which implies that if the streams were multiplied by $.05, the outcome would be more than $200,000 weekly.
