Ozzy Osbourne is back with a new single ahead of his upcoming album titled "Patient Number 9." The rocker recently spoke out to talk about the new record and gave more information about the process of creating it.

In an interview with Loudwire, the Black Sabbath member was asked about his thoughts during the early days of the pandemic and whether it inspired some of the songs on the album.

He noted that he got vaccinated and boosted but still contracted the virus. His last album, "Ordinary Man," was released weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic began.

At the time, he was gearing up to go into the studio to work on new music.

It was difficult for him, but creating a new album took his mind off his problems.

The album will feature some of the most legendary musicians in the industry like Zakk Wylde, Tony Iommi, and Jeff Beck.

Speaking about working with his collaborators, the singer said it was great teaming up with them, especially his Black Sabbath co-member Iommi as he's the "riff master."

"No one can touch him in that respect. I only wish we had these songs for Black Sabbath's 13 album," he added.

The rocker then opened up about the first single, "Patient Number 9," and how Beck contributed to it, saying it's an honor to have him on the song.

"There's no other guitar player that plays like him and his solo on 'Patient Number 9' is just jaw-dropping," he concluded.

The latest interview comes a week after he underwent a major surgery regarding his health condition.

He updated fans about his situation, saying he's back home from the hospital.

"I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well-wishes during my recovery," the brief statement reads. (via Billboard)

Osbourne's wife, Sharon, also expressed her gratitude to fans after her husband underwent a "very major operation that will determine the rest of his life" and assured them that the musician was on the road to recovery.

Page Six released a video of the singer coming out of the hospital in a wheelchair while wearing a soft neck brace.

The surgery is said to "remove and realign pins in his neck and back."
