The long wait is over! The 1975 has finally announced an official release date for their highly-anticipated album "Being Funny In A Foreign Language."

According to NME, the band took to their official mailing list to reveal the release date of their new record.

The 1975's follow-up to "Notes On A Conditional Form" will be available for streaming on October 14 via Dirty Hit, their record label.

Per the outlet, the announcement comes a few weeks after the four-piece group teased fans with another snippet of their upcoming single "Part Of The Band."

Vocalist Matty Healy took to his Instagram account to share a 10-second video featuring the sounds of a saxophone, seemingly familiar as the band has used the instruments in previous songs like "If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)."

Lyrics for the song are already available online. The official single will be released on July 7.

A few days ago, Healy made his Reddit comeback to keep fans excited and entertained ahead of their upcoming release.

Since many fans are hoping for the song "New York" to make it to the album after he performed it during Phoebe Bridger's show in Los Angeles, the singer gave more information about the unreleased project.

Healy noted that Benjamin Francis Leftwich initially wrote the song, but it didn't have a bridge, so he added one.

Despite their fans' wishes, the song wouldn't be a part of their upcoming album.

"New York will be finished eventually but is not a song of The 1975. Love you see you really soon x," he said.

Their upcoming album "Being Funny In A Foreign Language" is their shortest project so far, as their previous albums had lengthy tracklists.

2018's "A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships" had 15 songs, while "NOACF" had 22.

The official tracklist of their upcoming album is listed below:

  1. The 1975
  2. Happiness
  3. Looking For Somebody (To Love)
  4. Part Of The Band
  5. Oh Caroline
  6. I'm In Love With You
  7. Wintering
  8. Human Too
  9. About You
  10. When We Are Together

The 1975 first teased fans a few months ago when they deactivated their social media accounts before revealing the album title.

They also had posters plastered around England.

In other updates, the band will make their concert comeback at the Mishima Sonic Park in Tokyo, Japan, on August 21 for this year's Summer Sonic Festival.
