Rubi Rose referred to Lil Tjay as "the fucking goat" on her Instagram Story on Sunday for surviving a recent shooting despite being struck by a total seven gunshots. He can be called any name right now for sure, given how he miraculously ended up still being alive after that.

In June, Lil Tjay was attacked during an attempted armed robbery and for almost a month now, has been making headlines because fans were wondering whether he survived, how he survived, and exactly his condition now, if he is alive. Information about his recovery can be said to has been quite spare, but it has been made known that he is now talking and conscious. 

"7 shots... took nothing & still breathing... The f*cking goat," Rose captioned a photo of the 21-year-old rapper.

In 2020, it was claimed that Rose and Tjay were an item, however Rose recently denied that they had ever been a couple.

Tjay abandoned Rose at the time when she rejected his approaches, and the two exchanged barbs on social media. In the period afterwards, they had reunited, and in an interview with Angela Yee, Rose referred to him as a "really good person."

Sunday's message was not the first time since the tragedy that Rose has expressed support for Tjay. Back on June 22, she tweeted that she was praying for him. 

The incident apparently occurred about midnight at a Chipotle restaurant. Both Tjay and the other man had multiple gunshot wounds. As the days after the incident passed and Tjay's condition remained unknown, fans began to fear the worst. The report broke on July 1 that he was still hospitalized but "awake and communicating."

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting the investigation, reported that shooting occurred at a Chipotle restaurant in an Edgewater residential and outdoor shopping district. 

The Edgewater Police Department located Lil Tjay, 21, whose legal name is Tione Jayden Merritt, with several gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the prosecutor's office. 

The other victim, 22-year-old Antoine Boyd, was found roughly a mile from the Chipotle with a single gunshot wound at an Exxon gas station. 

According to the prosecutor's office, investigators established that Mohamed Konate, 27, of New York, "attempted to commit armed robbery" against Lil Tjay and two others he was with at the time of the shooting: Jeffrey Valdez, 24, of the Bronx, New York, and Boyd. 

The report added that detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the New York City Police Department arrested Konate on Wednesday on three counts of attempted murder, three counts of armed robbery, and additional weapons charges. His extradition to New Jersey is pending. 

Valdez and Boyd were additionally charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, according to police.
