Toni Cornell is celebrating his dad, Chris Cornell's, supposed 58th birthday today, Jul. 20, 2022.
With a heart-wrenching letter she posted on Instagram recently, fans of the Soundgarden vocalist are struck in awe because of the nostalgic video she posted alongside.
Chris Cornell struggled with depression and eventually took his own life by hanging himself in his Detroit hotel room in 2017.

Taking to Instagram just hours ago, Toni Cornell shared a cute moment immortalized through a video with his father, Chris Cornell.
Jamming to Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie," Chris is teaching the then-toddler, Toni, the right way to sing the 2010 classic.
"Nothing Compares 2 U" is not just a song. It's what I truly think when I look back at our life and memories together. You were always playing music for us, singing with us, dancing with us," the 17-year-old wrote.
According to Toni, losing his father was "one of the hardest things" they had to go through. While others say that it goes easier with time, she claimed that they were missing him even more.

"Today, on your birthday, I think so so many join me in saying we miss you the MOST!!! The world would not be the same without you in it, and will never be the same with you gone. You wrote the soundtrack to not just our lives, but for millions, and we will forever hear it," the message reads.
The Audioslave frontman was considered among the greatest vocalist of all time, mainly praised for his voice and songwriting abilities.
Rolling Stone ranked him No. 9 on the list of Best Lead Singers of All Time, while MTV's 22 Greatest Voices in Music places him on No. 12.
"We feel you with us as your words, love and all of the memories shaped our world, made us who we are and are forever ingrained in the fabric of our souls. On your birthday and every other day, we celebrate you and remember how very lucky we were that you were ours," the letter ends.
Chris Cornell was 52 years old when he passed away. Should he have survived that day, he would be turning 58 today.
