Nicki Minaj's "Freaky Girl" has been a trending topic on Twitter for almost a week.

After getting a post-humous approval from the late Rick James' estate, it seemed like Nicki's new single "Freaky Girl" is about to hit the stands soon.

Barbz spotted that Nicki Minaj's new upcoming song was already registered on Shazam, which leads to speculations that the "Do We Have A Problem" rapper is dropping the song at the end of the week.

Nicki Minaj's 'Freaky Girl'

Last week, Nicki Minaj shocked everyone after posting a bombshell teaser of her new song, "Freaky Girl."

Donning a body-hugging Black one-piece with a bling and new hair highlights, Minaj is seen dancing, vibing, and twerking while the song plays in the background.

Barbz are immediately thrilled about the teaser for the new song, which heavily samples Rick Jame's 1981 classic hit, "Super Freak."

Nicki Minaj's 'Freaky Girl' Gets Posthumous Approval from Rick James

King of Punk-Funk Rick James gave Nicki Minaj its seal of approval last week after the latter's new track "Freaky Girl" heavily sampled his classic hit.

Thanks to Rick James' estate, who manages the icon's Twitter account, the track was even catapulted to more fame.

Despite the song still kept on Nicki's shelf, "Super Freak" gained a massive resurgence on Itunes R&B/Soul charts - from 0 to No. 171 to No. 45 in the past three days since the "Freaky Girl" snippet.

But before reaching the "Super Freak" hitmaker's attention, Barbz has been non-stop hyping the new single expected to drop soon, urging Nicki to release the song as soon as possible.

As of this writing, Nicki Minaj's "Freaky Girl" release date is still unknown. But new speculations grew after a fan spotted something on Shazam.

Nicki Minaj's 'Freaky Girl' Shazam Verified Already?

Shazam, an artificial intelligence application used to determine a song with just a few songs, has officially recognized "Freaky Girl." Because of this, fans are speculating that this is evidence that the song will be out soon.

Twitter Error

The video now amasses over 3 million views on Twitter, with more than 120,000 likes, 5,000 plus replies, and almost 40,000 retweets.

With the track getting all the attention, one fan even pointed out that "Freaky Girl" would be the decade's "Anaconda," a song Nicki released in 2014 that quickly became a worldwide hit.
