Julian Lennon is back as he released a new song ahead of his upcoming album. The big question is; what is the deep meaning behind his new track?

In a press release obtained by American Songwriter, John Lennon's son's latest up-tempo track is about his ability to "inspire hope and unity."

The song, which features an anthemic hook, aims to remind people that we are the "'Lucky Ones,' as his passion for climate action comes through with lyrics calling for a revolution."

The LSS-worthy line reads, "I feel a change is coming, I know/A new revolution's knocking on my door/I feel a change is coming, so strong/It might not be forever, but I know that we're the lucky ones."

Lennon's forthcoming album's title was inspired by a Beatles song written by Paul McCartney titled "Hey Jude."

The classic hit is said to be a love letter to him.

"Lucky Ones" is the latest addition to his previously released tracks ahead of the album's release. The first four singles were "Breathe," "Freedom," "Save Me," and "Every Little Moment."

Produced by Lennon and Justin Clayton, the new record will be released on September 10, 2022. Vinyl editions can also be purchased by fans.

The recent release comes after Lennon covered one of his father's biggest hits "Imagine" for the first time.

In a previous interview with Consequence, the Grammy Award-nominated musician said the cover was a one-time thing only.

Since releasing the video online, many fans have been asking him to perform the song again, but he clarified that he won't be doing it again as he's moving forward with his work as an artist.

At first, he was afraid and "fearful" of singing the song, but he was able to achieve it because it was released on the right occasion.

The video's production was simple as it never had any lavish props to make it "honest, truthful and raw." He only sang the track with an acoustic guitar played by Nuno Bettencourt.

Speaking about how he felt after the video made rounds online, he revealed that it was both the easiest and most challenging thing to do.

Lennon's "Imagine" cover was dedicated to Ukrainians who are suffering from the war.

He wrote in the description box of his video that he felt compelled to release the song as what's happening in the country is "an unimaginable tragedy."
