Shania Twain was among the country songwriters named to join Nashville's Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2022, along with Hillary Lindsey, Steve Wariner, David Malloy, and Gary Nicholson.

The "You're Still The One" singer will officially be inducted on Oct. 30 at the 52nd Anniversary Nashville Hall of Fame Gala at the Music City Center.

"It feels really good to be among so many of my songwriting idols and for my own songwriting to be celebrated," Twain shared her excitement via Twitter.

"It's been a while since a woman has been inducted into this, so it's pretty awesome to see not just me, but Hillary Lindsey included too." She added, noting her fellow country songwriter and awardee Lindsey.

The nonprofit organizing the inauguration noted the contribution of the artists to the country music genre throughout the years.

"This is always one of my favorite days of the year - when we announce our incoming class and begin their journey to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala in October," said Sarah Cates, the organization's board director.

"I'm especially gratified to note that - for the first time since 2009 - two of our inductees-elect are women," she said in a press conference.

"Not Just A Girl" Documentary release

Twain recently released her documentary "Not Just A Girl," released on July 26, accompanying her album with the same title. She talks about her humble beginnings at Timmins, Ontario, before becoming a country superstar.

The documentary began in 2020, mainly over Zoon due to the pandemic, Twain shared via Twitter. She shared that the experience was "surreal."

Twain is considered a country icon, releasing tracks loved by all like "You're Still The One," "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!," "Any Man of Mine," and "That Don't Impress Me That Much."

She rose to prominence in the 90s and continues to write and release music. In her newly-released documentary, directed by Joss Crowley, various artists were included and interviewed, like Lionel Richie and Avril Lavigne.

The documentary, produced by Mercury Studios, is available on Netflix and reveals things Twain has never shared before about the beginning of her career and the steps she had to take during her rise to success.

"Not Just A Girl" album

The physical release "Not Just A Girl" is set to be on Sept. 2, which includes her smash hits "You're Still The One" and "Man! I Feel Like A Woman," as well as her new track and title track "Not Just A Girl."

On Aug. 24, Twain will receive the Poet's Award from the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM) for her songwriting ability. She has had an amazing year thus far, being awarded twice for her songwriting ability, releasing a documentary and a new album. Perhaps there is still more to expect from the country superstar in the future.
