Megan Thee Stallion's "Traumazine" is going head to head with Rod Wave's "Beautiful Mind" in a race for the top spot on the Billboard 200 charts this week.

"Traumazine" is Megan's highly-anticipated sophomore album, while "Beautiful Mind" is the soul-trap artist's fourth project already.

In a stunning early prediction standing, Rod Wave's new album is expected to debut at No. 1, outshining Meg's "Traumazine" despite the heavy anticipation.

Megan Thee Stallion 'Traumazine' Billboard 200 Debut Only at #2?

According to Hits Daily Double, Megan Thee Stallion's much-awaited sophomore album "Traumazine" is projected only to debut at around 40,000 - 50,000 album-equivalent units, a relatively lower number compared to her first album "Good News."

In 2020, "Good News" opened at 105,000 album-equivalent units, ranking #2 on the Billboard 200 Charts, bowing to BTS' "Be" at the time.

The early projections are quite low considering the hype and the collaborations surrounding the album.

Megan recently said in an interview that she paid Future a whopping amount just to be included on "Pressurelicious," a track on her new album.

"I had the beat for 'Pressurelicious,' right? I recorded the song, and I recorded it one way. And I'm like, 'You know what? This would really sound hard if Future was on it. So I feel like being a woman in the industry, reaching out to a man trying to get a feature is always going to be a task. You never know what to expect," the female rapper told the LA Leakers on Power 106 Los Angeles

The "Savage" hitmaker also pointed out that she was swift in deciding to pay Future $250,000 for the feature, pushing her team to drop the money before he leaves Miami for the needed verse.

However, the star-studded collaborations with Latto, Rico Nasty, and Dua Lipa might not be enough to weather Rod Wave's imminent debut at the top.

Rod Wave 'Beautiful Mind' Replicating 'SoulFly' Chart Success?

Based on the same outlet, Rod Wave's "Beatiful Mind" was predicted to debut at 120,000 to 140,000 album equivalent units.

Should he actually generate those numbers, he is following the success of his third album, "SoulFly" which debuted at #1 with 130,000.

However, all of these projections could still change if Beyonce's "Rennaisance" holds the summit of the Billboard 200 charts with a larger number than "Beautiful Mind."
