Naomi Judd reportedly struggled for an alarming reason days before claiming her own life.

Judd's mental health issues have been put under the spotlight after her tragic death. Her family announced that her long battle caused the singer to cause a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

However, a source recently revealed that she actually dealt with another issue that seemingly contributed to that incident.

The insider told OK! Magazine that the "Rockin' With the Rhythm of the Rain" singer was stressed about several things before taking her own life. Unfortunately, her insecurities about her appearance made everything worse.

"Between the pressure of appearing at the Country Music Hall of Fame induction and a planned tour with daughter Wynonna, she was insecure about her thinning hair and weight gain from antidepressant drugs. It was all too much for her brittle mental state," the source claimed.

Naomi Judd died by suicide on April 30. Her daughter, Ashley Judd, took weeks before she was able to detail the graphic death of the singer, saying that she died of a self-inflicted firearm wound.

Naomi Judd's Battle With Depression

Despite being open about her battles, Judd suffered more due to the issue's extreme effects on her mental health.

In her 2016 book, "River of Time: My Descent into Depression and How I Emerged with Hope," she revealed that she experienced the worst after her tour since she was suppressing her memories related to child molestation.

She disclosed further details about her status in a 2017 essay for NBC News. Per Judd, she was immobilized while suffering from depression after her muscles atrophied due to lack of movement.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Good Morning America, she spoke about getting diagnosed with treatment-resistant severe depression.

The latest revelation came after Ashley's new lawsuit claimed that Judd was still alive when she found her. In the filing, per The Daily Beast, the daughter stayed with her dying mother for 30 minutes until the responders arrived.

RadarOnline noted that Ashley's claims could be supported by the video recorded by the bodycam of Williamson County Sheriff's Department's cops.

"(The Judds) will suffer significant trauma and irreparable harm in the form of emotional distress, pain and mental anguish should these records be released. Moreover, the release of these records would continue to cause the entire family personal and public pain for years to come as they would undoubtedly live in perpetuity on the internet," attorney J. Michael Shipman II said.
