Right after receiving the Video of the Year Award for "All To Well (10-Minute Version)," Taylor Swift announced that her new album would be released this coming October 21.
Afterward, Taylor also said that by 12 midnight, more album details would be available.

Aside from the album description and the estimated new songs to be released, Swifties has taken a deeper look at the album's release date - which is October 21, 2022.

Coincidentally, the infamous incident between Taylor Swift and Kanye West happened at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where Kanye, Kim Kardashian's estranged husband, took the limelight on Swift's acceptance award.
It has been 13 years since the incident happened, which also corresponds to the new 13 tracks that "Midnights" include.
Aside from the release date and the track numbers, fans have also pointed out the likelihood that one of the album's tracks will reference the night that the MTV blunder happened.
Based on the description, the album will detail the stories of Taylor's 13 sleepless nights, a journey of terrors and sweet dreams, all scattered throughout her life, which would make sense since the "All Too Well" hitmaker has repeatedly referred back to that moment as a thing that pushed her forward to make better music.
Lastly, fans have noticed that her recent 2022 VMAs dress is strikingly similar to the 2009 VMAs dress she wore during the Kanye incident.
