Bad Bunny is going down the list of artists who kissed someone on live television, which turned out to be one of the most controversial things that happened at the time.

While performing "Titi Me Pregunto" at the MTV Video Music Awards last night, Bad Bunny stole a quick smooch with a male backup dancer, which sent Twitter into a divided frenzy on what it was is to make up for the display.

The Puerto Rican singer took home the Artist of the Year award at the MTV VMAs, marking history for Latinx people who won the specific category.

Bad Bunny Controversial Kiss on 'Titi Me Pregunto'

Performing all the way from the Yankee Stadium in New York, Bad Bunny blasted everyone's screen from New York to New Jersey and across the country with his hit, "Titi Me Pregunto."

At the latter part of the performance, where all of the dancers are pooled around him, Bad Bunny made a rather unpredictable move - kissing his male backup dancer on the lips for a few seconds.

Although same-sex relationships are not new to American television, moments like these received polarizing views from viewers throughout the years; take, for example, the 2003 VMAs controversy between Madonna and Britney Spears.

The surprising moment hits Twitter, with many fans of Bad Bunny, formally known as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, enthused with what they see on television.

"I REALLY GOT TO SEE BAD BUNNY KISS A MAN ON STAGE WITH MY OWN TWO EYES. WE LOVE BISEXUAL BENITO," a fan said in excitement.

Others were even surprised in happiness, noting that it shared similarities with Britney Spears and Madonna's infamous kiss at the 2003 Video Music Awards.

Meanwhile, some were not convinced, noting that Bad Bunny has only been queerbating, like what some accuse Harry Styles of doing as well.

"Just turned on my TV and saw that dude Bad Bunny kiss another dude during his performance. Is the whole world LGBT or is there an agenda?" a netizen tweeted.

Bad Bunny has recently expressed breaking gender norms in his fashion sense and even in music, which is why fans of the Reggaeton star were not that surprised by the televised kiss.

Besides Camilla Cabello, Bad Bunny is the second Latin artist to have won the Artist of the Year Award at the MTV Video Music Award and the first Non-English language singer.
