Adele is talking about the real reason she canceled Las Vegas residency from January that was supposed to take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Her residency was meant to be the next step in her already successful career.

Reflecting on the decision to cancel the event, the "Rolling In The Deep" hitmaker maintained she had no option but to do so - a decision she said was the worst moment of her career.

Adele was well aware that she had disappointed her fans, many of whom had already paid to see her perform on stage in Las Vegas. She announced the cancellation on her Instagram page only hours before her first live event was scheduled.

What Did Adele Say Back In January?

Adele notified fans in January that she was postponing her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency for a variety of reasons.

Despite trying everything possible to make the shows ready on time, she conceded that they were not ready.

She also stated that she didn't want to release anything that wasn't good enough for her fans, yet problems like delivery delays and COVID occurred.

Adele then stated that she would have to reschedule the dates until they could reach an agreement with Caesars Palace and her team to allow the event to proceed.

Adele's Real Reason for Cancelling Her Las Vegas Residency in January

In an interview with Elle, the 34-year-old Grammy award-winning singer revealed that she made the choice while doing a soundcheck at the massive arena and staring out at rows of vacant seats.

According to the British singer-songwriter, there is "no spirit in it."

Adele elaborated, "The stage setup was incorrect. It seemed far from me and my band, and it lacked closeness. And perhaps I overdid it by giving it those things in such a regulated atmosphere."

When the "Hello" singer left Las Vegas, she stated that she was struggling to deal with the aftermath, which triggered her cancellation. She, on the other hand, refused to back down from her choice.

Adele stated that the first few months following the cancellation were difficult for her, but that it also helped her self-confidence grow since she felt what she did was extremely gutsy.

"And I doubt many people would have gone as far as I went. I'm quite proud of myself for putting my artistic demands first."

Adele will now concentrate on a new program after personally directing its creative development.

Her top objective is to recreate the connection she thought was absent from her last set.

She rebranded the 32 performance dates, which would take place between November 18, 2022, and March 25, 2023, as "nostalgic," and believes they would convey the tale of her whole career.

"It's all about the music, and it's rather nostalgic. It's going to be stunning."
