Willow Smith, who simply goes by Willow, returns to the main stage with her newest single "Curious/Furious," just a few weeks before the release of her forthcoming album, "Coping Mechanism."

The 21-year-old singer is returning to a more-conventional pop genre with "Curious/Furious," but with her own little twist to it.

The song is reportedly produced by Chris Greatti, who has collaborated with Poppy, co-writing and co-producing her album "I Disagree."

"Curious/Furious" brings audiences into Willow's mind, exploring her experience as she goes about in the world alone.

Willow sings, "All that we can do is step into dread, that's what I said / And I'm takin' this adventure on my own Walkin' through a darkened forest goin' home Curious, furious / I feel alone, oh oh oh / Getting over it now / And I never wear a frown / Because life doesn't choose / Either side, win or lose, right or wrong It's a battle that's all in your mind."

Fans are very excited to have the rest of the album after listening to the song, with one replying, "Willow, I Absolutely cannot wait for this album."

"Willow has the most distinctive voice and style in this industry right now. So excited for this album!" Commented another.

Others praised the singer for her vulnerability and growth, "Love it proud of your growth Willow [...] This is what it looks like to go from a [little] princess whipping her hair to a freaking Rockstar Queen [period]. God Bless You and Your Fam."

"Curious/Furious" is the singer's third single, following "Maybe It's My Fault" and "Hover Like A GODDESS," released in July and August, respectively.

The three singles will all be included in Willow's upcoming album "Coping Mechanism," which is slated to be released on Sept. 23.

Lifelong Learning

Earlier this month, she was on the cover of Glamour Magazine, where she revealed her reflection on changes within herself and around her.

"As a Black woman there were a lot of layers to my relationship with my hair and skin growing up; it was definitely a learning curve," she said.

She now sports a buzzcut, and revealed to Glamour, "Shaving my head is maybe the most radical thing I've done in the name of beauty."

Her hair is not the only radical thing she has been up to. Willow received some pushback from her label following her decision to pursue rock music for "Coping Mechanism."

However, she insisted on having a rock album. She has come a long way from her first single "Whip My Hair," released in 2010.

"I feel like I'm forever evolving and trying to find the most authentic version of myself. I think that's a lifelong thing."
