Many fans have been waiting for Ariana Grande to release new music as her last album "Positions" dropped almost two years ago.

It appears that a solo song from the singer may take a while as she's currently working on the film adaptation of the hit stage musical "Wicked" as the character Glinda along with Cynthia Erivo who stars as Elphaba.

Fans shouldn't be sad as a collaboration song might happen next year as revealed by another artist.

Taking to her official TikTok account, Kali Uchis recently held a live stream where she teased a collab song with the "Just Like Magic" songstress.

The singer confirmed that Grande is not "recording" any music at the moment as she's working hard on her film, but "she said that when she's done with that, we are going to work. I'm excited for that." (via Uproxx)

As of this writing, neither of the two has confirmed the official title and release date of their song.

Since Grande would be busy for a while, meaning it would take time before her collaborative track gets released, fans shouldn't worry as Uchis confirmed that she will release two new albums soon.

The singer spoke to Vogue Magazine, saying her upcoming records would be in Spanish and English.

She told the outlet that she wanted to show "all the different sides" of her and wanted to prove to the world that she's a "multi-dimensional" musician.

"I think it's more about just having fun with it and letting my fans see and hear this other side of me that they never have before."

No New Ariana Grande Music Anytime Soon?

Grande has been gracing fans with music since her debut album "Yours Truly" and has released numerous albums ever since.

However, this year, it appears that the "Honeymoon Avenue" songstress would take a break from creating music after the release of 2020's "Positions" as she wanted to focus on another project.

In a make-up tutorial posted on her cosmetics line REM Beauty a few months ago, the former Nickelodeon star admitted that she hasn't begun recording any songs from her seventh album.

The singer said she was "not ready" to start another album yet as she was busy preparing for "Wicked" as well as shooting "The Voice" where she served as a coach for one season.
