About a month ago, Grimes shared her interest in going under the knife for a pair of elf ears, and it seems like she finally got what she's been asking for.

Over the weekend, the Canadian singer posted a picture of herself post-operation, her head wrapped in bandages, which caused quite a ruckus on the Internet.

She captioned the picture "I did smthn crazy!" The picture on Twitter as garnered over 31,000 likes and 3,000 quote tweets.

The tweet was received with mixed reactions from the fans, but most of them were excited and happy for the singer. "I hope she got them, I would be so excited!" Tweeted a fan.

'Has Anyone Done Elf Ear Mods?'

The 34-year-old first expressed her desire for elf ears modifier the previous month, tweeting, "Also, has anyone done elf ear mods with a good outcome?" "[I'm] scared about ear cartilage having a hard time healing. Especially as a musician, this surgery seems risky but I've wanted it my whole life. Curious about [people's] experiences!"

It was also, however, noted that her ex-partner, Elon Musk, disproved the elf ear modifiers publicly. He tweeted: "The downside of elf ear surgery probably outweighs the upside."

As a joke, Grimes replied, "[To be honest], this sounds like a job for CRISPR. Sad to be born just a few generations too early."

A Hollywood Moment

To tease fans more on whether she had the elf ears done, Grimes noted that she managed to "perfect" the last song for her upcoming album while she was in a plastic surgery clinic, reports say.

Writing about her upcoming album, she wrote, "Album is done we're mixing. My friend and I perfected the last song in the plastic surgery clinic cuz they wouldn't let me leave and we were laughing that this was the most Hollywood moment of all time. [sic]"

Aside from her recent surgery-which still is not confirmed whether it was for the elf ears or not-Grimes is also gearing up for the release of her upcoming album, which is slated to be released on Sept. 30.

The album is reportedly called "Book 1," "about militarised AI courtesans among other things," she shared.

The album is said to have collaborations from Dorian Electra, Ryon Wu, and Jennie from the K-POP girl group BLACKPINK.

Following the release of "Shinigami Eyes," where the K-POP idol was seen doing a cameo in, Grimes said, "Jennie taught me many lessons."
