It's difficult to fathom another Beyonce Knowles.

After all, she is the one and only Queen Bey in this lifetime.

However, a member of the British royal family recently declared that she expected to become the "Beyonce of the UK" after entering the monarchy.

Meghan Markle, according to reports, expected it to happen as soon as she married Prince Harry. But this was before she discovered she despised the rigorous constraints of royal life and resigned from her top royal positions.

This was exposed in Valentine Low's upcoming book, "Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown," with excerpts published in The Times.

Meghan Markle A Beyonce Wannabe?

According to sources, the Duchess of Sussex imagined that by marrying Queen Elizabeth II's grandson, she would become Britain's Beyonce. Nonetheless, her royal responsibilities and rigid regulations as a working family member disillusioned her.

She was said to be increasingly anxious and misunderstood by palace staff.

"I think Meghan imagined she was going to be the Beyoncé of the UK," a former palace insider said.

"Being a member of the royal family would have given her that kudos, but what she realized was that there were so many stupid laws that she couldn't even do the things she could do as a private citizen, which is difficult."

Another described it as an impossible endeavor since the realms of monarchy and fame are incomprehensible to one other.

Are Beyonce and Meghan Markle Friends?

Despite the fact that the two ladies are often pitted against each other, Beyonce is said to be one of Meghan Markle's numerous famous acquaintances.

Despite the fact that they only met briefly in person, they are said to continue to support each other from afar.

According to actor Idris Elba, the Duchess of Sussex played Beyonce's songs at her wedding in May 2018.

He said that a Beyonce playlist was played during the royal wedding celebration, where he was a DJ.

Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z paid homage to the former "Suits" actor in February 2019 when winning a BRIT Award, and she was also featured on their website for Black History Month.

They ultimately met in person a few months later at the UK premiere of "The Lion King."

In 2021, after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's interview with Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce expressed her support for the couple, posting a sweet message of support on her website, "Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you."

A few months later, Beyonce's website greeted Meghan with a "happy birthday" and a baby picture of her.
