Chayanne is finally back in the scene! Well, not officially. Recently, the Latin artist finally sat down for an interview for the first time in five years and he's ready to discuss why he's taking so long to release new music.

In a discussion with Leila Cobo of Billboard, the Puerto Rican singer revealed why he never released any projects after dropping "En Todo Estare" in 2014.

He noted that he's been releasing "a few singles here and there" but aside from music, he's also doing a lot of things except for an album.

The singer embarked on a tour a few years back, but was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic; he only had four dates left.

Regarding why there's no new album yet, Chayanne said there are a "couple of circumstances," but his main reason was he likes to "really listen to the songs" and analyze them one by one.

When asked about possible retirement, it appears that the singer isn't stopping soon as he still feels young.
