Fans rejoiced over the past few days after Blink-182 finally confirmed that they're returning to the stage next year. Since their supporters were teenagers during their prime years, it appears that most of them could afford tickets now, meaning the band could potentially earn millions of dollars.

According to Billboard, the band along with pop-punk music acts like Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy, and more, became popular decades ago and their then-teenager fans are now old enough to enjoy the throwback music they've always listened to.

Now that the band has finally confirmed their comeback shows like the reunion tour, the "When We Were Young" festival appearance next October, and other projects, the outlet estimates the band could generate a whopping $250 million for their promoter, Live Nation.

Nostalgia can do big things to bands and a big example would be My Chemical Romance which performed at their first major tour in over 10 years earlier this year.

In early reports, the rock band earned $60 million or an average of $1 million per show, all thanks to fans who are mostly millennial who can now afford tickets of bands they listen to when they were younger.
