Fans have been suspecting whether Billy Ray Cyrus and his new girlfriend Firerose are planning to head down the altar after the latter posted a series of pictures back in September. Some eagle-eyed fans noticed that she was sporting a big rock on her ring finger.
However, if the inconspicuous pictures sparked engagement rumors, new pictures uploaded by the 61-year-old singer seemingly confirmed it to all.
In the new Instagram post uploaded by Cyrus, the two posed for the camera cuddled against each other. It was captioned, "Happy Autumn," with an orange heart.
Fans did not take notice of the beautiful trees that were turning orange, rather they took notice of the massive, sparkly diamond the singer-songwriter was sporting on her ring finger.
New Love
According to reports, Cyrus began his relationship with Firerose long after he and Tish Cyrus called it quits. Although the two have only started their divorce proceedings this year, they have not been living together for over two years, and they have been on-again-off-again for over a decade.
A source close to the two confirmed Cyrus' relationship with the much younger singer, whose age is still unknown, "Billy is happier than he has been in a long time with Firerose."
There is not a lot of information about Firerose, however, according to reports, she is an Australian singer-songwriter, and grew close to the country singer after working together.
"They've been dating for a little while. They grew close while working on music together. It is what it is. He and Tish were over before he started dating her," a source told People Magazine.
In 2021, they began appearing on each other's social media accounts. They eventually began Instagram-official the following year when Firerose posted about Cyrus' birthday.
However, some fans cannot help but raise some eyebrows after finding out that the singer is already engaged less than five months into his divorce proceedings with his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Despite some fans' apprehension about the new couple, the majority of the comments under Cyrus' Instagram post were well-wishes.
"Yay! Billy finally has a smiling photo! Love it" a fan commented.
"Nice engagement ring. Congrats," wrote a fan.

Although they received a number of congratulatory messages and comments, certain people close to Cyrus kept mum about the relationship.
According to reports, Cyrus' daughter Miley had an issue with his and Tish's divorce from the get-go.
It reached a breaking point when the "Wrecking Ball" singer and Cyrus unfollowed each other on Instagram.
According to a source, the series of rows and the tension the two had were too much. However, they also noted that Cyrus' other children were more forthcoming, as Noah even collaborated with Cyrus for a song off her recently released album.
