Kanye West claims he lost $2 billion in a single day due to his antisemitic comments. The rapper has made a series of provocative and insulting remarks towards Jewish people on social media and in interviews over the past month.
On Wednesday, Adidas executives severed connections with Kanye West and terminated their Yeezy fashion partnership, while Creative Artists Agency (CAA) representatives dropped him as a client. On Thursday, the hip-hop musician did not appear to express regret on Instagram.
"Ari Emanuel," he started his post, referring to Endeavor entertainment agency boss Ari Emanuel. "I lost 2 billion dollars in one day. And I'm still alive. This is love speech. I still love you. God still loves you. The money is not who I am. The people is who I am (sic)."
However, Kanye West's condition is not a joke. It is fortunate that he does not care about the money, as much more can be lost. A completed documentary about Kanye West, better known as Ye, has been cancelled in light of recent antisemitic remarks made by the artist.

The co-leaders of film and television studio MRC - Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu, and Scott Tenley - said that they are unable to endorse any content that bolsters his platform.
Attorneys stated that West maliciously fabricated false and baseless assertions, inflicting harm to Mr. Floyd's estate and family.
The family of George Floyd sues West for claiming he died from drug misuse. The corporation is the most recent to severe connections with West after the rapper made antisemitic remarks during an interview with Fox News anchor, Tucker Carlson last month.
The rapper's ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, also responded to West's antisemitic remarks without naming him. In an Instagram post, Kardashian stated that hate speech is "never acceptable" or "justifiable." Earlier in the day, numerous members of her family, including her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner, issued remarks in favor of Jewish people.
The message, shared to their own Instagram stories, stated, "I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the rapper's longstanding talent agency, CAA, has ceased representing the musician within the past month.
West tweeted on October 8 that he was going "death con 3" on Jewish people, misusing the military alert term Defcon.
The posts were removed and West's account was suspended by Twitter. West reaffirmed his views during an unaired appearance on "The Shop: Uninterrupted," which withdrew the episode because West used "The Shop" to rehash additional hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes," according to co-host Maverick Carter's statement to Andscape.
Balenciaga specifically parted ties with West following his appearance on the Drink Champs podcast last week. During the 45-minute talk, West propagated an assortment of antisemitic conspiracy theories and claimed that George Floyd was not killed by Minneapolis police but by a fentanyl overdose instead. Roxie Washington, daughter of Floyd, has recently launched a defamation action against West for $250 million.
