Saucy Santana was just ignored by Nicki Minaj.

Santana, formally known as Rashid Spain, is a rising rapper in the music scene who gained prominence after being recognized as the makeup artist of the rap duo City Girls.

In 2019, many took notice of Saucy Santana. His song, "Material Girl," went viral on the short-video streaming app TikTok. Because of this, the Florida-born rapper has made waves online and has received substantial attention from the music industry.

Earlier this year, Santana's "Material Girl" reached the radar of the original "Material Girl" singer, the Queen of Pop, Madonna. Although the two songs were different from each other, the iconic title speaks highly and is somehow an ode to the popular 1980s track.

Following his surprise appearance at Madonna's NYC performance, Saucy Santana released his collaboration with the Pop Queen, titled "Material Gworrllllllll!"

His debut album, "Keep It Playa!," debuted last December 2021. However, his most popular tracks, "Material Girl" and "Walk Em Like a Doug," came from his mixtape "Imma Celebrity," which he released in 2020.

Like many other budding rappers today, Saucy Santana had publicly admitted that he is a Barb - for those who don't know it - this is what Nicki Minaj calls her fans, a wordplay on her iconic Barbie persona.

But over the past few months, a debate on social media has ensued, calling out underground female rappers giving their flowers to the rap royalty Nicki Minaj, only to score a collaboration with her. As how many put it, a collaboration with Minaj meant a boost in their discography, thus their fame.

Notably, Megan Thee Stallion was one of the first underground rappers whose career flourished after scoring a collaboration with Minaj.

Now, Barbz is more defensive than ever. Recently, Latto, who had been proclaiming herself as a Barb through and through since she was younger, had butt heads with Minaj - after asking the latter for collaborations but ultimately denied to do so.

Saucy Santana, who is dear friends with Latto - has taken the train and recently hopped in on Minaj's Instagram Live.

While the two are chatting, the conversation leads up to Santana's rather blunt and suggestive question: "When Am I getting my motherf---king feature?"

Minaj, unprepared for the question, gave a very descriptive frown, almost disappointed after being taken aback by the rapper's upfront attitude. Still, at a loss for words after being cornered, Santana thought Minaj's phone was on mute, while Nicki seemed to be aghast with the question he hilariously asked if she was on mute.

Nicki made it clear that she was ignoring the question. But moments later, Nicki explained, like she usually does, that the feature is still not at bay, and she would review it first if his verse would fit the material.
