Happy Birthday Nick Lachey! A year shy of being 50, Lachey has quite a colorful career, both in music and outside of it.

Nick Lachey Net Worth

According to Celebrity Net Worth, being an American singer, actor, musician, television personality, and host, Nick Lachey is now worth $25 million.

However, this is the net worth he already shares with his wife, model and actress Vanessa Minnillo. Nick rose to prominence in the late 1990s as a member of the boy band 98 Degrees and has subsequently pursued numerous other endeavors.

Lachey's singing career began in the mid-1990s, when he and his friend Justin Jeffre began performing at Kings Island. After that, he and Jeffre joined forces with his brother Drew and Jeff Timmons to form the boy band 98 Degrees.

Motown Records signed them after music manager Paris D'Jon spotted them. 98 Degrees released the albums "98 Degrees" (1997), "98 Degrees and Rising" (1998), "This Christmas" (1999), "Revelation" (2000), "2.0" (2013), and "Let It Snow" collectively (2017). From 2003 through 2012, the ensemble was on a lengthy break. "SoulO" (2003), Lachey's solo debut album, was a commercial flop.

His second studio album, "What's Left of Me," was released in 2006 and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

After selling more than 500,000 copies in the United States, the RIAA certified the album as gold. He departed from Jive Records in June 2010. Subsequently, he released "A Father's Lullaby" (2013), followed by "Soundtrack of My Life" (2014), which comprised cover versions of songs featured on movie soundtracks.

Defending "Love is Blind"

Recently, Lachey felt compelled to respond to a critic made against the show that he's hosting, "Love is Blind."

Nick Lachey has responded to former "Love Is Blind" actress Lauren Speed's comments that the popular Netflix drama "cuts" black women.

The show, which is hosted by the power couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey, follows a group of single hopefuls as they attempt to find love in the pods and become engaged blind. Now, the 48-year-old singer of 98 Degrees told Entertainment Tonight that Speed's comments were "a reasonable assessment" and that he "understands where she's coming from"

However, Lachey conceded, "I'm not sure what can be done about that other than continuing to cast diversely, which they have done."

Speed, who appeared in the first season of the show, criticized its creators after the launch of season 3 on Netflix last month.

"I don't like how LIB be cutting all the Black women. How come they are always in the trailer but not the show... ," she tweeted. She then said that the majority of relationships on the show are fabricated for the camera.

On an ending note, surpirsingly Nick and his wife, Vanessa, coincidentally have the same birthdays. Vanessa turns 42 today.
