Blur will be reuniting at one of the biggest concerts of their career next year and many fans are still waiting for the possible announcement of a new album. However, in a recent interview, bassist Alex James appears to be unsure of the band's future.

Speaking to BBC 6Music's Steve Lamacq, the musician was asked if he and Damon Albarn are "coming up with something new" ahead of their massive concert at Wembley Stadium next year.

James quickly responded, saying he was not sure what was going to happen next as that it was a part of the terror of being in Blur.

"It might be the last show, it might [lead to] a new album. It's part of the fun of it, I literally never know what's going to happen," he said. (via NME)

As of this writing, the band has not announced a new project yet.

Blur Reunion at Wembley Stadium in 2023

Giving fans more information about their highly-anticipated reunion next year, James and drummer Dave Rowntree revealed they have been planning to surprise fans for a while now, but all of their plans were halted due to the pandemic.

Since the entertainment industry bounced back from COVID restrictions, they added that venues have been booked up that's why it took a while for them to have a date.

How to Get Tickets for Blur's 2023 Show?

The concert, which will be on July 8, 2023, will also feature other music acts like Jockstrap, Slowthai, and Self Esteem. This would mark the British band's first headline show after seven years.

As of this writing, there is no information if the band would also go on a world tour, but tickets for their Wembley show will be available on November 18 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

Speaking about their upcoming gig, frontman Damon Albarn said they are excited to play classic songs to their fans. Graham Coxon agreed with the singer's sentiments as he's also looking forward to revisiting all their hits together.

Blur first went on hiatus in 2003 after the successful tour for their album "Think Thank." They reunited in 2009 for another tour and appeared at the Glastonbury Festival.
