Wet Leg just announced some major updates on their highly-anticipated London shows next week!
The British indie rock band, Wet Leg, has recently made waves online again after being nominated as Best New Artist, among many others, for the upcoming 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
Composed of Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chamber, the alternative singing duo has already embarked on their UK and Ireland tour last Nov. 13, 2022, with a concert in Norwich.
This coming week, Wet Leg is set to fill the O2 Forum Kentish Town for two nights on Nov. 23 - 24, 2022. But according to NME, not only fans present at the venue would witness the band's concert as the entire show will be broadcasted simultaneously on TikTok.
This marks a first for the video-sharing platform as it would be their very first #AltMusic LIVE event.
The Wet Leg Free TikTok concert will be available on Wet Leg's TikTok account from 8:55 p.m. GMT next Thursday, Nov. 23, 2022.
Ahed of their London sets, the alt band is slated for a string of concerts in the United Kingdom - Glasgow on the 17th, Leeds on the 18th, Manchester on the 19th, and Birmingham on the 21st. They would also have concerts in Nottingham on the 25th, Belfast on the 27th, and finally in Dublin on the 28th. Based on the publication, the tour is already sold out.
On their Instagram, the band celebrated the start of their UK tour, posting photos with Jamaican hip-hop artist Lava La Rue who had been their guest act on some of their Europe shows. She will then return again for the 23 and 24 shows in the O2 Forum.
Meanwhile, the band was surprised upon finding out that they had been nominated for a total of 4 nominations at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Wet Leg is in the running for becoming Best New Artist, as they go head to head with Anitta, Muni Long, Omar Apollo, Latto, Domi & JD, Beck, Samara Joy, Måneskin, Tobe Nwigwe, and Molly Tuttle. (via Pitchfork)
