Miley Cyrus is reportedly shocked and appalled after discovering that her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, got engaged to a singer who is only a few years older than her.

Billy Ray confirmed his engagement to 34-year-old Australian singer, Firerose, through an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine. The relationship developed after his ex-wife, Tish Cyrus, filed for divorce from him in April and ended their 28 years of marriage.

After the announcement, Miley reportedly showed signs that she felt grossed out by her father's new relationship.

"Miley was already shocked and appalled that Billy Ray and Firerose were hooking up, so now that he's stuck a ring on this gal's finger, it's a step beyond and a real kick in the teeth. Miley's very protective of her mom, and the consensus is that their dad's being a jack--- and throwing his life and money away on this girl," a source told Radar Online.

Another insider claimed that the former Disney child star refused to talk to her dad after distancing herself from him.

The new report came after other sources said the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker had already had enough of her father. Things reportedly got worse when her parents divorced, saying that it might be a rift that would never be healed.

In addition, Miley spoke up about her father cashing in on her fame since she appeared in the hit TV series, "Hannah Montana." At that time, her mother was the only one who looked out for her.

Miley Cyrus On the Verge of Falling Into Addiction Again?

Amid the claims, another insider said they feared Miley might completely backslide into alcohol addiction again as her father's engagement became a huge trigger for her.

Liam Hemsworth's ex-wife admitted that she relapsed during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, she was able to help herself become sober again.

Per the "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" singer, she decided to get rid of alcohol from her system and lifestyle completely last summer.

She went through a lot in the past years, from her divorce from Hemsworth to the wildfire that broke their Malibu home she, unfortunately, experienced.

For now, Miley is keeping her head high and hopes up that there is still a "good time" for some things to happen.
