Justin and Hailey Bieber flew off to Japan to celebrate the latter's 26th birthday, and it seems like it was a small and intimate affair-much like their relationship over the years.

The singer took to Instagram to share some pictures of themselves in Japan, and captioned it: "Happy birfday (in Japan) to my favorite human being."

"You make life magic. Obsessed with everything about you. Love you, bum bum."

Along with the Instagram post, Justin also shared a couple of snapshots of them going out and about the gorgeous scenery in the Land of the Rising Sun on his Instagram Stories.

The model reposted Justin's greeting and added, "PS, it's my birthday already in Japan, not back home yet," referring to the different timezones in Asia and North America.

Although everyone knows the Bieber couple, and they are not afraid to share a picture or two of themselves smooching, they actually keep much to themselves.

Sometimes, their Instagram posts that let fans in on what's going on behind the scenes, like Bieber's nicknames for his wife or when they got their new puppy.

In September, the couple reportedly celebrated four years of marriage, and it seems like it has been smooth sailing for some years now for the couple-which fans were initially skeptical of.

Relationship Timeline

The pair never really revealed just what makes their relationship work, but many can assume it really is just anchored in love.

They met back in 2009 when the model's father, Stephen Balwdin, introduced his then-14-year-old daughter to the rising star. According to reports, prior to having a relationship with Justin, the model was a big fan.

In 2011, Hailey was seen posing for the cameras next to the singer at the premier of his biopic, "Never Say Never."

By 2018, the singer confirmed their engagement on Instagram. He wrote: "So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindly."

From their seemingly innocent meeting to their romantic get-away posts, there is no denying that the pair are really meant for each other.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Hailey shared that not every day was sunshine and daisies, however, they made it work.

"He's still the person that I wanna be rushing back to [...] And I feel like that's because of the effort that's been put in on both sides. At the end of the day, like, he's my best friend, but it still does take a lot of work to make it work."
