The Weeknd is celebrating the 6th anniversary of his third studio album titled "Starboy" and it became one of the most popular records of the 2010s.

Now that it's been sitting on major music streaming platforms for years; what are the most and least popular songs of the album based on the number of streams on Spotify?

Released on November 25, 2016, the album was under XO and Republic Records. It contains 18 tracks in total with one bonus track on its Target edition.

It features some of the biggest musicians in the industry as collaborators such as Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, Future, and Daft Punk.

While Cashmere Cat, Frank Dukes, Diplo, Metro Boomin, and Labrinth serve as producers.

Regarding its placement on the charts, the song had seven singles in the US Billboard Hot100 and also amassed massive success with the top-five song "I Feel It Coming."

The album received praise and awards from coveted award-giving bodies like the Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2018.

In a previous interview with Billboard, The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, reveals that the album was inspired by "hip-hop culture of braggadocio" from Wu-Tand and 50 Cent as it was the kind of music that he listened to during his early years.

As of this writing, the song with the biggest Spotify streams from his album is the title track "Starboy." It currently has a whopping 2,057,934,067 streams on the platform.

Featuring Daft Punk, the song was released as a single two months before the record's official release date.

The meaning of "Starboy" was derived from Jamaican slang of the same word, which means a person who is cool or important in any form of group.

Least Popular - 'Love To Lay'

The least popular song from the album based on Spotify streams is "Love To Lay" which is millions or even a billion listeners away from the track mentioned above, coming in with 128,798,459 streams since its release.

According to Pop Song Professor, the song revolves around the singer being on the receiving end of the habits that he brags about, but in the end, he was taken advantaged of.
